Relax on these Ruston Patios

With spring weather comes one of our favorite times of the year - patio season.

The season where a light breeze and warming temps make for a perfect outdoor dining experience. Throw in some southern charm and a cold cocktail and you'll want to linger for hours on these Ruston patios.

Sundown Tavern

This downtown landmark is a go-to spot for those who want to enjoy outdoor dining. Sundown’s large and breezy patio is downright charming with its fun and assorted décor that creates an eclectic atmosphere. The menu boasts southern favorites and their bartenders are skilled at mixing up a refreshing cocktail. An added bonus: Sundown’s spacious patio is pet friendly.

Utility Brewing

Another downtown patio dining favorite is Utility Brewing. Ruston’s local microbrewery offers more than just amazing craft beer. Enjoy homemade wood-fired pizzas and fresh salads, all of which incorporate local ingredients. Plenty of fans and umbrellas make their patio a great pick for warmer days, while heaters keep it cozy when it's chilly. Not to mention their fun and cozy atmosphere complete with string lights and a colorful mural.

Trio's

If you love a cozy patio, look no further than Trio's, located just a few miles north of downtown. Known for their Mediterranean-inspired menu and gourmet specials, Trio's is a great option for a date night out or drinks with friends. Enjoy one of their signature cocktails on their quaint, breezy patio. As an added bonus, their patio chairs are super comfortable!

Grown and Grazed

Located in the heart of Downtown Ruston, this food truck has quickly become a local favorite for its breakfast items and burgers. Utilizing local ingredients, Grown and Grazed always has a special on the menu that’s packed with unique flavors. Take your meal to-go or enjoy it at one of the many picnic tables in the Heard Freighthouse Food Park. There are plenty of umbrellas to provide shade in the warmer summer months.

While these local spots don’t have full-blown patio spaces, they offer outdoor dining with great atmosphere.

Brister’s Smokehouse BBQ – Arguably one of the best BBQ spots in North Louisiana, Brister’s offers lunch and dinner daily in a friendly and relaxed environment. Their deck makes for a perfect casual outdoor dining spot.

Roma Italian Bistro – Perfect for a cozy date night, Roma offers sidewalk dining on a quiet corner in Downtown Ruston. Enjoy pasta, pizza, and more of their signature favorites with a glass of wine or specialty cocktail.

Uptown Downtown – Looking for a quick lunch or a sweet treat? Uptown Downtown offers sandwiches, wraps, cupcakes, cookies, and more delicious items daily. Grab your food and head to their cozy outdoor dining area.
